Artesano Provencal Collection

Organized by Forty One Madison, which sprawls over 23 floors and has stores that sell the finest of china, glass and flatware, the New York Tabletop Market is a must-visit event for tabletop accessories, dinnerware and everything tabletop that is in vogue. The management at Forty One Madison registered The New York Tabletop Market in 1999. It brings together buyers and sellers under one roof, and offers networking, educational and other such valuable workshops and programmes to the people who attend.


Artesano Provencal Collection

The event, which is on right now at Forty One Madison, attracts the best name in tabletop accessories, glassware, etc and many brands launch their new collection at the event. This year, the heritage tableware brand, Villeroy&Boch, has introduced its new product line, Artesano Provencal, designed by Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave, at their showroom at Forty One Madison. The collection is flirty, romantic and yet contemporary, and includes charming geranium print in vibrant orange and red blossoms, with hints of purple wild roses intertwined with a rosemary-green border. The design is inspired by de Borchgrave’s many trips to Provence, France. Made of premium porcelain, the nearly 20 pieces flaunt clean lines with pronounced rims in the nearly 20 pieces.

Villeroy&Boch also introduced four new cities to its best-selling gift collection of New Wave Caffe Cities of the world. Cape Town, Amsterdam, Moscow and Shanghai are prominently showcased – each with their own unique design and expression of the city. Matching plates feature a map motif for a unique accent.

A Facebook vote was conducted this year to determine the color that best characterized each city. Cape Town is crowned in green and Moscow in blue, while Shanghai will be brightly emblazed in red and Amsterdam will flaunt yellow. This collection aims to express a feel for the real-life experiences that can be made in each city and provides an allure for collectors and world travelers.

In keeping with the times, the Forty One Madison App was launched at the market.It makes available essential information about the market and the brands to both buyers and sellers.
