Clinique Bridal Trousseau Service

For luxury cosmetic and skin care brands, the Indian bridal market is one of the largest in the world. No wonder they are launching exclusive services for the market.

Like the recent bridal trousseau service, launched by both Clinique and M.A.C. Clinique believes in a personalized service model, particularly when it comes to bridal services. The brand’s Bridal Trousseau Service is an interactive, appointment-based offering and ensures that each bride receives customized solutions for her beauty needs. In attendance are Clinique’s highly trained specialists who advice a bride on the kind of products that are right for her skin.

Among the services on offer: a skincare regime to restore youth, achieve flawless perfection and make-up tips so that you do not end up looking overdressed on your biggest day. From how to get the perfect matte look lipstick (apply the lipstick, cover lips with a tissue paper, apply powder on top of the paper to soak up excess moisture from the lipstick, then remove the paper, reapply the lipstick and repeat the process the second time. Voila! You have achieved that perfect matt look); buying the right foundation, and the correct mascara and eye shadow techniques, the experts tell you how to do it just right!

This India-exclusive service comes with a lovely addition: every purchase of Rs. 15,000 will get the bride a range of handpicked Clinique’s products in a stunning bridal trousseau box.

This luxurious box is inspired by Indian bridal motifs and boasts delicate gold floral exterior and metallic accents on the edges and the handle. The interiors are equally decadent: a deep crimson velvet casing, a mirror and a big compartment for the bride to carefully place her skincare and makeup products. Sophisticated, elegant and lightweight, this Bridal Box reflects the perfect combination of contemporary and traditional.

M.A.C’s a pre-booked service, priced at Rs 12,500, offers the bride-to-be an individual step-by-step lesson lasting 120 minutes, in which superlative M.A.C. artists educate her about different make-up products with tips and tricks on how to achieve three different looks. Clients can also redeem a voucher of Rs 12,500 by buying any M.A.C products of their choice after the appointment.

The bridal majors, however, aren’t the only one to offer trousseau services in Indian. Given the size of the Indian bridal market, there are several willing to cater to the bride, and often the groom’s every desire. So, design retail chain Goodearth has launched its bridal registry service under which the couple-to-be can register for a range of home décor accessories, indulgent bed linen, wellness products and dinnerware. “For us, it is an extension into the crucial bridal market, which is one of the biggest in India,” says Simran Lal, CEO, Goodearth. “The bridal registry market is at its nascent state in the country but will grow with time. Besides, Non Resident Indians are our biggest target market for the registry services.”

These bespoke services prove that there is no business like the wedding business in India.
