Dutch fashion-tech company Renoon, which has an e-commerce platform enabling customers to search for apparel using various sustainability filters, has launched a new website and app.

Renoon is managed by an Amsterdam based group building smart tools with the ambition of a unified and responsible fashion universe. In less than a year from starting the company, the team has been internationally recognized by WWD, FashionUnited, Vogue Business, DutchNews etc. and is among the 70 top change makers in Europe for 2020 according to Sifted from Financial Times.

The startup, founded by  Iris Skrami, Nicolò Tresoldi, Gabriele Trapani and Piero Puttini , offers the possibility to buy second-hand garments or rent new ones and hosts on its platform one million products from over 200 partner brands, such as Stella McCartney, Vestiaire Collective and LuisaViaRoma. The proprietary technology developed is able to aggregate hundreds of thousands of eco-friendly products in a single platform , starting from the lowest price ranges up to luxury.

The platform is split into five categories: environmental protection, human wellbeing, animal ethics, innovation and technology, and modern consumption – this last category includes things such as slow fashion.

The company’s patented technology automatically processes the sustainability features and certificates of the fashion products of retailers and splits them up on its site for consumers to explore based on those categories.

Renoon brings the highest standards in sustainability and their framework, developed with the help of the best experts in the field, is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and fashion industry highest resources. They processes the attributes of responsibility at the product level. One can not only find transparently in which areas of sustainability brands are focusing on but only see those products that meet the standards of their framework.

Renoon is initially running as an invite-only platform targeted at consumers from the Netherlands, with a full version to be launched at a later but unspecified date.
