Inspired by a Copenhagen garden, OpéraSPORT’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection brings together sculptural silhouettes, delicate fabrics and botanical colors, reflecting the label’s evolving design vision and its continued use of recycled and organic materials.
A garden might not be the first place you look for fashion inspiration, but for OpéraSPORT, it offered plenty to work with.
The Copenhagen-based label turned to Carl Jacobsen’s Garden for its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Growth, presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week on 3 August. In October, the collection travelled to Paris, where OpéraSPORT introduced it to international buyers during a showroom presentation held from 1–5 October at 13 Rue de Palestro.

The collection moves between contrasts: sharp tailoring alongside fluid dresses, delicate lace against sculptural shapes, and soft botanical colors balanced by deeper earth tones. Nature provides the starting point, but the clothes have a character of their own.
Taking inspiration from nature
For Growth, OpéraSPORT looked beyond the familiar floral print. The collection draws on Carl Jacobsen’s Garden, from the architectural lines of its pathways to the strength of the thistle and the abundant blooms of rhododendrons.
The garden’s colors carry through the collection, too. Soft greens, pale floral hues and muted neutrals reflect its botanical tones, while deeper earth shades and sharper accents add contrast. These colors appear alongside sculptural skirts, structured tailoring and fluid dresses, with sheer layers and delicate lace bringing softness to the silhouettes.
There is a lovely tension running through the collection. Some looks feel precise and architectural; others are lighter, with fabrics that move with the body. Rather than choosing between the two, OpéraSPORT brings them together.
It is an approach that feels particularly suited to spring and summer dressing. The clothes have detail and structure, but there is also room for movement and a sense of ease.

Fashion with room to move
Femininity remains central to OpéraSPORT’s design identity, and it is expressed in different ways throughout Growth. This season, softer shapes sit alongside more sculptural forms, creating a balance between delicacy and definition.
Sheer fabrics and lace bring layers of texture, while seamless rib pieces are designed to follow the body’s movement. Tailoring gives the collection structure without making every look feel formal.
The idea behind the collection is also reflected in its name. Growth suggests change over time: shapes returning in new forms, and familiar elements being reworked rather than discarded.
There is an interesting connection here with the idea of a more considered wardrobe. Versatile pieces that can be worn in different ways and revisited over several seasons can become lasting favorites. The way a garment is made, cared for and worn all contributes to that story.

A thoughtful approach to materials
Alongside its creative direction, OpéraSPORT continues to work with recycled and organic materials as part of its approach to more considered production.
It is a relevant part of the conversation around sustainable fashion. Material choices can influence a garment’s environmental footprint, while design, quality and versatility also shape how long it remains part of someone’s wardrobe.
For a collection inspired by a garden, this connection between the natural world and the clothes we wear offers an appealing starting point. It brings together the visual language of nature with a continued interest in materials and production.
As the industry explores more responsible ways of making fashion, these decisions are becoming an increasingly important part of a brand’s identity, sitting alongside creativity, craftsmanship and the way a collection is designed to be worn.

From Copenhagen to Paris
The Paris showroom offered OpéraSPORT an opportunity to introduce Growth to international buyers and showcase the continued evolution of its design universe.
Seen alongside the August runway presentation, the Paris appearance marks another moment for the collection: from its original garden setting in Copenhagen to a showroom where buyers could encounter the clothes more closely.
What makes Growth appealing is the way its inspiration comes through in the details. The botanical palette, sculptural shapes and softer layers create a collection that feels connected to nature without relying on literal floral references.
With its Spring/Summer 2027 collection scheduled to launch online and in stores in February 2027, OpéraSPORT continues to develop a design language in which femininity, structure and a considered approach to materials sit comfortably alongside one another.
